Senior Engineer - Dundalk / North-East Based
We are currently looking for a Pre & Post Sales support on the following
- Microsoft Windows Server OS including 2008 Small Business Server
- Exchange Server 5.5 and higher
- Terminal Server and relevant services / Citrix (advantageous)
- VMWare & Hyper-V Virtualisation
- Microsoft Office and Integration
- Symantec Security and Mail filtering products as well as a strong understanding of SMTP and POP. Symantec backup exec and relevant hardware
- HP Hardware, Proliant Intel based servers
- Zyxel, Cisco, Ruckus wireless and firewall devices (expert knowledge in security and VPN and advantage)
- Experience in mobile PDA hand held devices a big advantage (Windows CE)
- Experience with Dot Matrix Printing, Zebra label printers a strong understanding of Windows Command Prompt / MSDOS and legacy device control and manipulation
Desired Candidate Profile
- Should be graduate/diploma with excellent communication skills
- MUST have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- MUST have external customer experience at all levels of the customer organisation
- Experience with the emerging WPF/Silverlight layers
- Should be customer focused and ability to suggest the required solution to meet the customer’s needs
- Must have good organisational and management skills

Beneficial
- Experience with the Developer Express suite of .net components
- Practical knowledge of ASP.Net
- Experience with WCF and web services in a distributed application
- Experience with the emerging WPF/Silverlight layers
- Knowledge of IronPython or other runtime scripting technologies
- Knowledge of the Visual Studio design time feature set like design-time type discovery, custom type editors etc.. (for developing tools for developers)
Overall the candidate should have a propensity for thinking ahead and ‘outside-the-box’. They will be encouraged to improve our application and development framework by using new technology and techniques. A genuine interest in growing their own skill set through self-development and research is desirable
